Consultation has concluded

As per the Local Government Act 2020 and Council’s own Community Engagement Policy, Council is required to undertake a community engagement process before entering into new leases.

The new lease council intends to enter into is for 9 Clarence Street, Nhill (known as The Patch) with the Nhill Neighbourhood House Learning Centre (NNHLC). The initial term of this lease will be for 5 years, with the option for Council to extend for a further 2x 5-year periods.

NNHLC has utilised this facility for a number of years, to the benefit of the community. A new inclusion within this lease is the ability for the NNHLC to sublease to other community groups, upon request to Council.

Council is seeking submissions from members of the community on Council's intention on entering into this lease. To do so, please complete the submission form below.

Submissions close 5pm on Wednesday 10 July 2024.

Once the consultation period has closed, if there are no objections received, the Chief Executive Officer will proceed with entering into the lease. If objections are received, the decision will be presented to Council at a future Council meeting.
