2025/2026 Annual Budget, Revenue and Rating Plan and Long-Term Financial Plan
At the Council Meeting held on Wednesday 7 May 2025, Hindmarsh Shire Council resolved to give public notice of the intended 2025/2026 Budget (incorporating Revenue and Rating Plan and Long-Term Financial Plan).
Drop-in sessions will be held from 8am – 10am at the following locations:
Jeparit Library - Tuesday 20 May 2025
Dimboola Library - Wednesday 21 May 2025
Nhill Council Chamber - Monday 26 May 2025; and
Rainbow Library - Tuesday 27 May 2025
These sessions give you the opportunity to speak to Council staff and Councillors about the draft Budget.
You can view the Draft Budget linked to this page. It is also available for inspection at the Customer Service Centres in Nhill, Dimboola, Rainbow and Jeparit. Any person may make a written submission by completing the online survey below. Alternatively, hard copies of submissions can be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer and posted or delivered to Hindmarsh Shire Council, PO Box 250, Nhill VIC 3418.
Council will consider submissions and adoption of the budget at the Council Meeting at 3:00pm on Wednesday 18 June 2025 at the Council Chamber, 92 Nelson Street, Nhill.
Submissions close at 11:59pm on Wednesday 4 June 2025.

The 2025-2026 Draft Budget and Long-Term Financial Plan is open for consultation, closing Friday 11 April 2025.

Once the consultation period has ended, the Draft Budget will be presented to Council at the meeting held on 7 May 2025. After this meeting, the Draft Budget will go out for another period of consultation prior to adoption at the June Council meeting.

At the Council Meeting held on Wednesday 7 May 2025, Council resolved to put the Draft 2025/26 Annual Budget out for further consultation until Wednesday 4 June 2025. Community drop-in sessions will be held to allow members of the community to speak to staff and Councillors about the Draft Budget.
