FAQs
Why are you establishing a Community Panel?
The Victorian State Government requires that all Councils undertake deliberative engagement as part of writing the Council Plan. It means that the Council Plan is genuinely informed by the views and interests of the community through active involvement in the development process.
What happens on the panel?
Our panel will involve 1-2 meetings holder by a facilitator. We'll ensure it's a safe, fun and inclusive setting for all members.
You can bring a support person and people under 18 years will need to bring an adult guardian. We will aim to assist with transport and will provide snacks and tea/coffee/water.
The venue will be accessible - you are welcome to visit to check accessibility arrangements before the panel. We are happy to discuss support or adjustments you might need.
How do I register?
You can submit the EOI form linked from this page or contact us on 03 5391 4444 and we can assist in submitting one on your behalf.
What will Council do after the panel?
Council will consider the conversations and recommendations from the panel before making their final decision on what is in the Council Plan, the Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan and the Disability Action Plan.
